You can use DJ laser lights in Western Australia (WA).
However you must comply with strict state regulations and laser safety standards. While small, low-power Class 1 or Class 2 lights are generally fine for home use, any commercial, public, or higher-powered DJ laser is tightly controlled.
Key Regulations in WA
Australian Standards:
All lasers must comply with the Australian/New Zealand Laser Safety Standard AS/NZS IEC 60825.3.
Registration: High-powered lasers (specifically Class 3B and Class 4) must be officially registered with the WA Radiological Council. Class 3R, 3B, and 4
lasers also carry legal usage and labeling requirements under the Radiation Safety Act.
Show Submissions: If you run public laser displays or shows, you may need to submit a Display Safety Record (DSR) before the event. This record must outline your setup details and safety measures for approval.
Aviation Safety: If you host an outdoor event or use open-air lasers, you must prevent the beams from projecting into aircraft flight paths.

If your not sure what lights would be best for you then give us a call and we will point you in the right direction. Please remeber that the darker the room the better the effect will be. Smoke machines will enhance the effectiveness of the lights and make prominent the beams for that disco effect.
All equipment will be checked before you collect so you can be sure that when you get them home or to your venue they will be working when you switch them on.
